House of Hope/Sheridan Spartan Academy

SHS Football practices after school will take place from 4:00 to 6:00 pm each day.  The first game will be a Jamboree in Willamina on August 29th.  Come support our Sheridan Spartans!

Each teacher will let the families and students know if there are certain supplies for their class.  Basic supplies needed are paper, pens and pencils.  If your student likes to carry a backpack, they must not leave it in the hall.  Backpacks are required to be stored in the locker provided.  A planner will be provided and REQUIRED to be used.  If it is lost, it will be the student's responsiblity to purchase a new planner for $5.00.

August 11, 2014-SHS Office is now open 8 am to 3 pm

August 11, 2014-Football camp starts in the evenings.  See Coach Brice Ingram. Next week daily doubles begin am and pm.

August 16th, 23rd and 30th office is closed

August 27th, 28th and 29th the SHS office is open from 8 am to 3 pm.  We will be closed on Friday, August 30th. You are welcome to visit us at any time for registration. Please plan on paying fees and lunch money.  Thank you.

September 2, 2014-Freshman orientation day.  Freshmen only attend school.

September 3, 2014-Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors start school.  All students attend.

September 17, 2014-Picture Day.  Students should be here on time, pictures will start at 8:30 am and only last a few hours.  Freshmen are called first, followed by Sophomores, Juniors, then Seniors.  All students should have their pictures taken for the student service software and for ID/Student Body Cards, even if you do not plan on purchasing your pictures.  Packets will be sent home, or can be picked up in the office.

The Sheridan Spartan Academy (formerly Opportunity House) alternative program is designed to meet the academic and emotional needs of students who want to earn a Sheridan diploma. Located at Sheridan High School, our program is designed to meet the unique needs of pregnant or parenting teens, dropouts, over-age for grade students (two years or more), students who cannot earn credits at the regular high school, and students who are in danger of dropping out. 

We currently have 60 slots for Sheridan Spartan Academy & House of Hope for the 2012/13 school year. If you are interested please read, complete, and return the enrollment form.
