The Oregon Dept. of Education had set new requirements for Seniors last year and has added new requirements this year: The students are now required to pass the Reading, Writing, and Math portions of the OAKS Tests in order to graduate.  The passing scores are 40 for Writing and 236 for Reading and Math.  Please check to see if your student is on course for graduation.  Smarter Balanced testing is coming soon.

What can you do?  Encourage your student to read.  Take a few minutes to read and summarize a paragraph.  Check with your student in their effort in Writing Class.  You can work with your student on writing skills at home.  Check with them on their progress in their math classes and contact the school if necessary.  Please do not hesitate to call the school with any questions at 971-261-6970.

· Parents of Seniors are encouraged to get involved with the Sr. Grad Nite committee.  The Grad Nite committee is not run through the school and must be accomplished through parent efforts.  Call the office for more information.

The Graduation ceremony will be held on June 6, 2015 at 2:00 pm on the Football field and stadium.
