ATTENTION:Due to over 50 employees receiving their second dose of the vaccine on Tuesday, March 2, Sheridan School District will cancel all in-person instruction for Wednesday, March 3.
Comprehensive Distance Learning (CDL) will continue that day, as teachers are able. While everyone has different reactions to the second dose, the majority report flu-like symptoms 18 - 24 hours after receiving the vaccine. -
END OF SEMESTER DATE CHANGE
Sheridan Students and Parents,
The Grading Committee has made the decision to push back the official end of the semester until Friday, February 12th. We felt that it would benefit many students who could use the extra time to get caught up on their classes. This applies to students grades 4-12.
Here’s a summary of Grace Week:
-
Monday, February 8 Grade Day
-
No classes. Teachers will contact students and make arrangements for making up assignments and/or retaking assessments.
-
Tuesday - Thursday
-
Zoom meetings will be open following the normal schedule.
-
All students must do one of the following every day, for the three days: email their teacher, join at the regular class time or connect with the teacher during posted office hours.
-
Students with missing assignments and/or needing to retake assessments will be working with their teachers to complete the work.
-
Thursday is the last day of the semester.
-
Friday, February 12
-
Teachers will finalize grades.
Second semester officially starts Tuesday, February 16th. Please note that Monday, February 15th is a holiday, no school.
This plan was designed to support our students and grant the extra time to improve their grades and/or demonstrate that they understand the material. If you have any questions about Grace Week please contact the building principal.
