Sheridan School District - Reopening Information
Transportation will be provided, routes/times will be posted on the district website.
Students will not be allowed to eat meals on campus. Students in the AM group will get their lunch and breakfast from the meal distribution site in front of their school as they are leaving school for the day. The PM group will also get their lunch and breakfast at the end of their session with the idea that they will eat their meals the following day (i.e get your breakfast and lunch Tuesday at 3:15pm, eat the breakfast and lunch Wednesday before coming to school). Meals will be available for students that are not learning on campus at various distribution sites in town.
PM students will be handed their meals by a staff member in the hall. 6-8 and 9-12 students will be asked to tell their lunch number to the staff member to be entered into the MealTime computer by the staff member as they receive their meals. Grades K-5 teachers will have a paper meal roster to check off the names of meal recipients.
Students that are on-campus learning will NOT be able to bring meals home to their siblings. The siblings or parents must pick up meals from one of the meal sites. New meal sites and times beginning Feb. 16th: FCS 10:30-11:30, Open Door Church 11:00-11:15, City Park 11:20-11:35, SHS 11:00-11:30. River Crest and Trinity Lutheran sites will be closed.

Attendance: For any Hybrid Instructional Model or Comprehensive Distance Learning, ODE is establishing the following definitions and guidance:
- Attendance includes both participation in class activities and interaction with a licensed teacher during a school day or interactions with educational assistants and paraprofessionals through teacher-designed and facilitated processes.
- Interaction can be evidenced by any of the following or reasonable equivalents:
- Participating in a video class;
- Communication from the student to the teacher via chat, text message, communication app or email;
- A phone call between the teacher or educational assistants/paraprofessionals and the student, or, for younger students, with the parent or guardian of the student;
- Posting completed coursework to a learning management system or web-based platform or via email; or
- Turning in completed coursework on a given
- When there is no evidence of student interaction during a 24-hour period surrounding a scheduled school day as described, students are reported as absent for the day (grades K-5/ self contained) or class (grades 6-12/ individual subject).
