EMERGENCY CLOSURES – Policy EBCD
In the event of hazardous or emergency conditions, all district schools or selected schools or grade levels may be closed or schedules altered to provide delayed openings of school and/or early dismissal of students, as appropriate.

Inclement Weather and Emergency Closure Procedures

Notifications will be sent using ParentSquare if there is a school closure, 2 Hour Delay, or if buses will be on snow routes.  ***Please make sure your contact information in ParentSquare is up-to-date***

Our goal is to notify families of closures by 6:25am, however call out times may vary based on circumstances.

Closure Protocols

Regular School Day:

• Late start / two hour delay
  • FCS: Late start time will be 10:15
  • SHS: Late start time will be 10:00
  • No breakfast served
  • Evening events continue unless the weather deteriorates. Hopefully that decision will be made by noon.
• Schools closed
  • If school is closed due to inclement weather all evening events are cancelled

Friday Protocol (non-school day)

• Late start / two hour delay
  • All AM activities involving students are cancelled, including the FCS Enrichment Program.
  • District and building level meetings cancelled
  • Evening events operate on time, weather permitting
• District Closed
  • No staff report
  • Evening events cancelled

Route 1 Stop Changes
NO BUS TRANSPORTATION on Red Prairie Rd., Blanchard Rd. or Harmony Rd.

• Instead bring your students to: The corner of Savage Rd, Harmony and Mill St. at approximately 7:04 a.m.

Route 2 Stop Changes
NO BUS TRANSPORTATION on Upper Cherry Hill Road.

• Instead bring your students to: Selby Ln. and Cherry Hill Rd. at 7:26 a.m.

Route 4 Stop Changes
NO BUS TRANSPORTATION on Red Prairie Rd., Blanchard Rd., Gutbrod St. or North Evans St.

• Instead bring your students to:
  The corner of Savage Rd, Harmony and Mill St. at approximately 7:04 a.m.
  OR
  The corner of Evans & Blair at approximately 7:35 a.m.

Route 5 Stop Changes
NO BUS TRANSPORTATION on Thomson Mill, Upper Gopher Valley Road, Dupee Valley or Grauer Roads.

• Instead bring your students to:
  The corner of Gopher Valley and Thompson Mill at approximately 7:15 a.m.
  OR
  Grauer and Gopher Valley at 7:29a.m.

Route 7 Stop Changes
NO BUS TRANSPORTATION on Beaver Creek Rd.

• Instead bring your students to: Beaver Creek and Gopher Valley at approximately 7:23 a.m.

ALL BUSSES COULD HAVE DELAYS ON INCLEMENT WEATHER DAYS
