Sheridan School District is dedicated to implementing timely and appropriate accommodations to help students who have experienced a traumatic brain injury return to learning safely and effectively. Caregivers or staff members can notify the District of a diagnosed concussion or other brain injury using the Traumatic Brain Injury Accommodation Form located on the Forms section of our website. This form will start a process to evaluate the injury and develop an appropriate accommodations plan, focused on cognitive, physical, emotional and behavioral supports as needed.
Additional information is available through the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) procedures: “Immediate & Temporary Accommodations Plan” (ITAP).
District Health Plans can be reviewed on our Healthy & Safe Schools page.
