While I did not attend Sheridan School District schools, I am no stranger to attending small, rural schools. My education was split between Jefferson School District and Dallas School District and I graduated as salutatorian of my class in 2011. Following high school, I attended college at Chemeketa Community College and recently returned to school to complete my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Eastern Oregon University.
My immediate family moved to Sheridan in 2022, but my extended family has lived and been involved in the community for multiple generations. I have three children who attend Sheridan Schools and one at home. They are the reason for my involvement on the school board and within Sheridan’s schools. In the past, I have had the joy of coaching their soccer teams, volunteering and subbing in their classrooms, leading games for their church activities, chaperoning their fieldtrips, and even homeschooling them. Involvement in community has been a priority for my family wherever we have been. Presently, I continue to increase my involvement in school for the sake of my children and other students. I have a strong desire to support, prepare, and empower our students to become resilient in the pursuit of their dreams. As a district substitute, volunteer, and school board member, I hope to provide whatever efforts and skills I have to offer to the success of our students and community.
